I was just looking at the stats for etree04 - it is half full after one week! At this rate, etree05 will go up in a week from now...and etree29 in a year! How many servers do you guys have acess to?

The price of 4 servers is nothing compared to the bandwidth being consumed by the etree archives, last I heard that was 60mbps. You pay ~$3k once for a server and use it for 2 years, bandwidth maybe $300 per megabit per month. So you would need to get up to 29 servers for the hardware cost to compete with the bandwidth cost. Of course at 29 servers bandwidth demands would be much greater than currently.

etree29 would be a pleasure. this archive is a wonderful addition to the Internet Archive.

The bandwidth is indeed daunting. we are up to about 100Mb/sec just for etree. We pay $55/Mb/sec each month. We have to get the p2p stuff to work. there are 3 groups working with us on this, so I think we will crack through.
